Description

In a drift application when high steering angles are required, the steering link and knuckle position can align, making steering very difficult. This is known as steering bind or over centering and the best solution is to move forward the inboard mount on the steering rack. This can be achieved with offset rack spacers, however, by creating this offset, a bending moment is applied to the steering rack. This over time leads to the deterioration of the rack seals, or even the bending of the rack.
